The Craig Gallery seeks artists for new exhibit space
"the Craig Gallery at Alderney Landing, Dartmouth, has extended its exhibition space onto the outer walls — visible to people whenever Alderney Landing is open — and is looking for artists to submit proposals for small exhibits.

Bryan Maycock's painted wood pieces are in the new Craig Gallery Extension, a giant, white-walled case built into the gallery's wall, soon to be followed by a second case.

The extension is booked until Feb. 26. Maycock, who taught for many years at NSCAD University, is moving his current pieces and putting in a new series, Feb. 1 to 26….
Maycock's second installation of Unfinished business: parts 1 & 2 opens Wednesday. He developed the small, painted wood sculptures from drawings and watercolours for larger works that he never completed and from larger works since destroyed. Maycock is interested in materials and scale and these playful pieces, full of references to modern art, include saw blades, sky imagery and the "comfits" or candies of tiny tubes of coloured wood…."
